I have very picky taste in cars nowadays..the only car I've found I enjoy driving is my '88 RX-7..but this one was awesome, granted, my 7 could outrun it (somehow..I'm all stock!) but it had great handling (didn't like too many corners..fishtailed too much.) but all in all, I give it a 9/10. .5 points deducted because the hidious "Spider-Bra" on it. The other .5 was cause it was too damn expensive for me :( I can only afford 1k.....

Basically, this thread is me venting on a good car and wishing it was mine!
I guess I can add, "Do you like Them?!"

i drove an audi a4 quatro today and that had to be the nicest ride ive driven

I'm not fond of the new models except for the '06, now that's sexxxy

Basically, this post is me being envious of you. A 2nd-gen RX-7 is my dream car.

3rd gen is my dream car...and I shall get one!

I only liked the 96 eclipse, not sure about the newer ones.

It is a hot ride ;)
It's got lots of problems..electric problems, Transmission dying...thank god the Engine was already rebuilt..god knows how long ago. And so far, it was barely worth the $900 I payed for it ;)

I work at a dealer.. I've driven an 04 Eclipse GTS...was a very fun car to drive.

I still <3 My 1993 Mustang LX 5.0 Hatchback. 302 Cubic inches of American greatness.

yeah but many people choose looks over performance. although an eclipse in the hands of a tuner and a good paint job and body kit??? now THAT'S a dream car...since mitsubishi have pretty much the biggest variety of tuner parts on the planet for their cars.

Ick...drop kits. I'm so sad cause someone chopped the springs on my car..now it's so low to the ground, at first, I thought that's how they came! Then saw a stock 7..was like .."omfg.."

I need a new body job/paint job on that thing..it wasn't taken care of ;(

rotarys are crap toss um and put in a v8. It cheaper in the long run to work on a GM ls1 or Ford 302, than to keep rebuilding rotors. Especially with parts becoming scarcier (sp?)

My '86 littery fell apart on me (and I didnt abuse it)

w00t....i r teh have a 302!

Yeah, the rotor tips on the RX-7's tended to wear.

my friend has an '05 elise, i drive it all the time, and personally it's a freakin cool car, but i can't get over a lot of the terriable stuff the car has. It's an alright car, and i'm glad someone i know owns it, so i can drive it when i want, and then at the end of the day, just leave it.

Tr0n, I don't understand how the HCCI engine has virtually no emissions. It's still gasoline that is exploding

From the howstuffworks.com article:

Finally, in Type IV, the best attributes of gasoline and diesel engines are combined. A premixed fuel-air charge undergoes tremendous compression until the fuel self-ignites. This is what happens in a photo-detonation engine, and because it employs a homogenous charge and compression ignition, it is often described as an HCCI engine. HCCI (Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition) combustion results in virtually no emissions and superior fuel efficiency. This is because photo-detonation engines completely combust the fuel, leaving behind no hydrocarbons to be treated by a catalytic converter or simply expelled into the air.

Re-read the article. ;)

Also here's another quote from the quasiturbine.com site:

Detonation will completely combust the fuel in the fuel/air charge because of the short, but powerful, pressure pulse and because of the fast nearly linear variation of the QT maximum pressure zone, which rapidly closes and re-opens the combustion chamber. The diesel engine can only incompletely combust the fuel injected into the heated, compressed air in the cylinder. The QT (unlike the diesel) is therefore a "clean combustion" engine. It will have virtually no emission other than the standard products of combustion, e.g., CO2 and H2O. "Clean combustion" also implies that the QT engine is more fuel efficient than the diesel engine.

My friends 408rwhp FD>all of you.
Okay, well I guess complete combustions results in no emissions.

And Disturbed...I bet my 270 rwhp and 300 ft lbs of torque > you.

Psssh, I could get a nice 1g talon, throw $500 into it and run 12's.

For how long ;) turbo go pop

MY 350hp 345torque > greater than 270/300 :)

Yea well...

My 8000hp top fuel dragster > all of you

Cars are for getting from point A to point B, and sometimes sidetracking to point C. Doesn't matter what they are, as long as they get there.

Yes it does matter...it's how you look and how fast you go to point A, B, and C. ;)

I'm not picky about those things.
