I've palyed DM drunk and sober. Drunk I always get slaughtered , sober i do ok.

I was wondering sober or after a few, what state do you notch up the best scores in?

i've never played half life 2 dm drunk but i've played dod drunk on british blood bullets server about 400 times and often blurt bullshit over voice comm about ponies and clouds in moral interaction

Haven't had a drink in about a year and a half (quit drinking, started smoking ) but I used to play Quake2 drunk sometimes. Was quite fun, but I played horribly, and it would make me want to throw up.

I play ok when I'm sober, usually in the top five in CS or HL2DM, But one night I played CS when I'd had a couple of beers, And kinda got bored of having 16k for a few rounds, so I bought a Para, and actually used it better than when I'm sober, was on something silly like 56/8.
I think a couple of beers, makes me chill out a bit too, So if someone on the server starts hurling abuse, I'm like " Yeh! ok, whatever", Like I'm not bothered.
Whereas when I'm sober, I might say something like "fook off you, fooking noob pussy", Depends how angry I get.
I generally only get angry when people you kill start mouthing off, saying I killed em cos the lagged, switched guns, run outta bullets, etc and can't admit that they got beat cos My skills at that exact time were nothing short of perfect.

I'd like to think I'm polite enough to say, If they kill me next round, "Good shot!" or "well done you owned me there".
They kinda ease up a bit more when they die the following round.

Anyways..I'm blathering again..laters!

this was me on friday night when i came home slammed, then i remember getting dizzy running around with the gravity gun.
no i do not play video games very well when i am drunk.

Played after a couple of drinks but never drunk. Playing stoned or on opiates is far better, and it doesnt seem to have any noticable effect on performance.

This reminds me of a story..
About 2 1/2 weeks ago we took our midterms. It's open campus on that day. I'm a freshmen.

Some other freshmen went to one of there houses, givin a ride by one of the guys girlfriends. They got drunk.....
The girlfriend comes back to school, I believe sober the guys ride back to school on there snowmobile.

One of the dudes, before taking one of his midterms said he was sick and vomited on the way to the nurses room.
He had a 0.24(Legal in here, wisconsin, is 0.08).

He only got suspended for a week, plus failed the midterms he missed and might of caused no open campus, under the age drinking, over the limit drinking, but hey... just thought I would share.

I'd say im better in sober..

I started this thread and apologies for any offence it may have caused. I started it as purely light hearted and I admit at the time I had had a few.
I am sober now and my understanding of games is that they are here to entertain us. Us being me and you, whether it be single or multi player the point is, that despite our passions, games are a form of entertainment just like television, videos, Cinema, DVD’s etc.
Whether you play sober or drunk is irrelevant, as long as you are happy and entertained who cares?
Again sorry if this thread encroached into an otherwise serious forum but I was only trying to add a bit of light humour.
