DualHead setup on Radeon8500

Okay, it doesn't have much to do with HL2, but I'm trying to split my desktop on 2 monitors. I have two monitors plugged into my ATI Radeon 8500, but on the second monitor only shows a clone of the first one. I played around in the settings, but I couldn't find a setting to split the desktop. Does anyone know if this is even possible?

What Catalyst driver set are you running? I know I tried that out when I got my 9700, and.. that was the Cat 3.5s, worked for me

Should just right click Desktop, Properties, Settings, click on the second monitor, check "Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor" to the on position, and all should be well.
