Dude Ipod Help

ok so my friend (she is a lesbian) brought her ipod over and was just gunna plug it in and my itunes was gunna upload on her ipod but it doesnt seem to be working what the dillyo? please help, thanks.
 
Itunes tends to do things like this to prevent the illegal distribution of music. I don't illegally distribute music so I don't know what workarounds may exist for this problem.

It should work if you plug it in. Try restarting the computer.

Not very detailed, what exactly doesn't seem to be working?
 
You have to connect the iPod to the computer it was setup on and switch it to manual disk mode in the iTunes options and then you can drag and copy from another library.

What does your friend being a lesbian have to do with anything though?
 
i dont know why she wanted me to put her being a lesbian in here, that we her doing i guess she is proud because she like just found out recently i guess...........................but for the ipod thing, i heard about a program, ipod agent? i read up on it a little bit and i dont think it is what im lookin for so?????????????????????? haha i geuss this i kind of broad but please anything at all would help.

If you hold Pause, Menu, and the middle button, it will restart, I beleive. That usually fixes everything.

iPod Agent doesn't transfer songs from a computer to a iPod. Only the other way around, just use the method I told you about above and you should be fine.

edit: for ipod help though, next time to go ipodlounge.com You won't have to filter through a bunch of people trying to be funny to actually get some help.

To clarify: Yeah, Apple have the iPod and iTunes set like this on purpose so that you can't use the iPod go round dumping your music collection onto your friend's computers. But like people say, there are programs that will get round this.

man, does anyone actually read threads before posting anymore?

you don't need any freeware programs to do this, all you have to do is put your ipod in manual disk mode.

Er, pick up on these parts of what I said: "To clarify" and "but like people say", and think about whether I read the thread. I was just trying to make the situation clearer to the OP.
Next time you think of being a smartass, spend the time re-reading people's posts instead.

Also, simply putting it in disc mode isn't sufficient, because, IIRC, iTunes renames the song files.

Yes putting it in disk mode is sufficient. I do this everyday to transfer songs back and forth between my work and home computers with my iPod. So next time you think of being a smartass, make sure you know what the hell your talking about.
 
Sadly for you I used the caveat of IIRC, exempting me from looking like a jackass if I was wrong. That's what it's for.
Am I wrong that it renames the files?

Heh, in that case you must be using a completely seperate language to me which coincidentally has the same words but wholly different grammatical rules and sentence construction...

The caveat applied to the whole sentence. If files-being-renamed was wrong, then the whole sentence was invalidated.
I was correct that the files are renamed, and whether renamed files is a sufficient method or not is personal preference, so you can't say I'm flat out wrong. I'd think most people wouldn't be happy with it.
