As most of you know, Duke Nukem Forever has now a publisher, Take-Two Interactive. What most of you don't know (depending if you have done your homework) is that Take-Two Interactive will be setting up three booths at this years E3 convention, two on the concourse, and one at the south hall.

All of these booths are dubbed 'First Look'

Now pay attention to the 'Coming Soon' page of Take-Two Interactive Official site. What games listed there would be a first look that many people will have a fuss about?

Call of Cthulhu
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
Duke Nukem Forever

Feel free to choose three 'coming soon' games that are most likely to appear this years E3.

I feel that Duke Nukem will be a major contender for this years first look. the main reason being we haven't seen Duke with new physics engine as well as the Unreal engine

Alan Wake is being published via take-two... I would sooner expect that than DNF.

where did you find that info?
I have absolutely no idea, I could have sworn I read it on IGN...

my mistake... how odd.
I must have been thinking of another high profile game, that I can't seem to find now.

well hey, isn't DNF supposed to be using Unreal technology? and if so... wouldn't they have switched to U3E tech?

I think they did switch to unreal engine 3.0, but wanted to just say the unreal engine, so as to not generate too much hype before E3.

But then again, DNF is using Meqon, and Unreal Engine 3.0 is using Novadex for their Physics engine

after all the talk Broussard has laid down on the 3drealms forums, I hope the game can compete at the current (or even better, next) generation level.

I don't quite think that past generation iterations of the Unreal engine would do DNF (or the fans) justice.

then again I would kill for some old school DN3D deathmatch lan style.... those were the days :D

*goes off to play the Duke Nukem theme song on his electric guitar*

dah duh, duh, dah-duh, duh, dah-duh duuuh...

...

I can just still hear the sounds of the dual-devastators ;)

They said Prey would be at E3 and that DNF would be on next years E3.

Isn't DNF officially on its own engine. Unreal has been so heavily modded they decided to call it their own....I know I've heard this before. And I know I've heard Broussard say that DNF is not going to be at this E3.

DNF diverged from the Unreal codebase around the time of UE2 (UT2004) and now has it's own renderer and other engine components.

doesn;t it use the unreal 3 engine?

Whos the publisher for Prey? Is that Take-Two as well?
that's the one I was thinking of.
Prey, with the Native-American stuck in Doom3

currently I believe they are only speculating that Take-two will be the publisher however.

Duke Nukem? I've heard that name a few years ago. DNF? There was one game that was to be made on the Quake 2 engine, then the Unreal (1) engine, but it somewhat didn't appear on the market. <hidden sarcasm>

DNF...well if it gets shown, I expect a lot of people to be totally blown away by their cutting edge technology, then we see nothing of it for another 5 years...

I'm not sure if this is an old joke but...Duke Nukem [Taking] Forever

no...george broussard has stressed enough that it isn't unreal engine 3

like what was already said, the last update they made engine wise was to ue2 and they've completley re-written the renderer

Plus, added Meqon Physics

DEATH eVADER: I have that magazine already (subscribers get it early).

They have a sidebar about Duke. Basically they said that in 2001 (or was it 2002?) they completely restarted everything, and they've been progressing ever since. They have their own renderer for UT2 engine (nope, they did NOT buy UE3, that would be a waste and an even greater set-back... if you change engines frequently you won't end up with as great as game due to the fact you focus on technical rather than gameplay issues *cough* Daikatana *cough* )

They stated that DNF will _not_ be at this year's E3, because they want to get the game a lot more polished, and they know it would just be the joke of the show. I'm guessing that next year they will have a playable version on the show floor.

you are both wrong

the "Forever" in the Title, is indicative of the developement cycle.

Duke Nuke: (in developement) Forever

Most likely three games are:
Serious Sam 2
Alan Wake
Prey

I appreciate your sarcasm, and wholly understand why you would try and be arrogant, this being an online forum and all... however I was merely joking, If my comment offended you in anyway I appologize, it was not my intention.

also "I were satting" there only shortly in time, I know that it deffinatley being said. I said it like when I joined here back in May.
