Where is the "CD Key"? I'm re-installing HL2 on a new computer and I don't see it on the box, CD's or any of the CD sleeves?

If you are re-installing and have registered it before, you don't need to cd key. It will be binded to your steam account. Log in with your email and password for the steam account you registered them on, and away you go.

1. put your hl2 cds/dvd into your cd/dvd drive
2. install
3. select you already have an steam account
4. logg on
5. play

i bought the store version, it had a CD key on one of the paper cases i believe - zaffino

Anyhow, my key is on a sticker on the inside of the case. It says : 4y88f-7hf34-5ff73-3dh58-1rg82. :upstare:

For me it's a sticker inside the case above and to the right of the CD.
