Dune & Children of Dune Miniseries

So has anyone seen these?

I... Uhm... got my hands on 'em, and watched the part 1 of Dune, so far its pretty similar to the 1986 movie (lack of Picard of course.)

I'm looking for forward to watching Children of Dune, it has a most excellent soundtrack.

I've watched both Dune Shows and i have to say its quite interesting, Children of Dune was much better than Dune imho, the shows weren't bad nor good, just interesting, the music of CoD was excellent used, and the discovery of the Star Trek trailer was found too.

Although CoD relies on Dune, it has 2nd act syndrome effect here, needing the knowledge of old to begin of new.

It's a complex story that clearly need to be handled with care. I like how they build something up in one story and then destroy it in the other story, although makes things rather anti-climatic


The only thing that bother me through out the first mini series was the float fat gay ruler....

Its a great book, that have yet to be recreated as epicly into a movie.

Tried to read the book, and put it down after like page 3 because of the sheer boring-ness of the entire thing. Tried to watch the movie, and laughed heartily at the cheezy intro, and then turned it off in disgust when Picard showed up.

So no, I am not a fan.
