Site is up. The game idea is in it’s infancy and is still being heavily planed. So far it is going to start out simple with a basic team death match. Later I will add more. I hope to have the main focus to be fun.
I have to opposite problem most other mods starting out do, I am a coder in need of artist and mappers. I am looking for talented people to have creative freedom and submit good ideas. If you would like to help post on the forums or email me [email protected]

Basic idea
It is a Desert world. Pillars of light from the sky are the only source of water. Water only is only found here and in great abundance. Constant war for the pillars of light between the outlanders and the assembly. Mix of Low end tech and high end tech found. The high tech is left from an old civilization that left/killed it self out. Things range from Home made guns/knives to very basic laser rifles and vehicles. Maybe basic body augmentations (e.g. arms, eyes, legs, lungs).

Level Design
Caves, with out water and with lots of water
Maybe lush jungle
Arabian Cities with high tech junk
Lush Building, with lots of vegetation feed by technology
Open dunes
Maybe add heavy water irrigation. With both old and new ways.
Ruins of an old tech city


Character look
Beaten up old rags or Neat with beating up tech
Gas mask like thing or some short of mouth covering thing
Maybe Oxygen/Water tank
Guns could be tan or rapped up in rags
Guns could also be colored desert camo
Goggles or other eyewear
Maybe white eyes for some

I really like this. It is special fire mode on the shotgun. It fires all the shots at once. I am working on a better system for this.

Hum... well I tried it, and I think you shouldn't have released a version this early in development. All I see is HL2DM with some changes in the rate of fire of some guns, a "new (replacement for the magnum)" with the crossbow zoom, a shotgun that shoots too much bullets with the second fire. The map was not yours and, not related to dunes (It is a bunch of props in square rooms). And when the map is over, it switched to an HL2DM map lol!! So with the same characters as HL2DM, the same map, the same weapons (well almost), same sounds, it WAS HL2DM.... Also, the speed of the character is really fast! I've not played much HL2DM but it's seems alot faster than that, sometimes I thought I was flying. Oh and the GUI seems buggy, the ammo display and health was split in half. And there are also alot of bugs with the sounds and the weapons. The primary fire of the buggy doesn't work (undefined ammo type), I guess you won't put a buggy in the game anyway...

So my global impression is that a coder played a little with the values in the SDK like the cone precision of the guns, the rate of fire etc. A good start, you have to start by playing around with the values but It is far, far, far from beeing what your basic ideas tells the MOD should be (unless you wanted a HL2DM clone in a dune environement then you would have to make some good maps and it would be alright). It's agood idea to release a version often but in that case, it was a version you should have kept private in the MOD team imo. Work a little more on it, make a complete new map of your own that fits the theme, modify the gameplay and other things (more than the rof of the guns) and you'll get something enjoyable.

Thanks for your comments. Well I dont have a team, that was the idea of releasing it, to generate some interest in the mod. If you read the readme.txt you would see that the map was something I found for testing. I like the faster gameplay. Yeah, there are alot of litttle bug. The purpose behind the mod is to start simple and build off of what people like and dislike while adding in features and gameplay. I plan on releasing often.
