DVD Drive causing trouble

My DVD drive refuses to read cd's or dvd's :shock:
I pop the cd/dvd in. Wait. Nothing happens. My computer gives me the friendly message "Please make sure that there is a disc in Drive F".
I've tried using one of those cd drive cleaners on it, but it didn't help.
I've disconnected and reconnected all the cables, but it made no difference.

Any suggestions as to what may be wrong?

The motor's probably dying, then, which is what happened to my last drive. Either that, or the little bit that tells it that there's a disc in is malfunctioning.
