STAR WARS - Episodes IV, V, VI

Star Wars" fans will finally get the Force-feeding they've been asking for. The original three "Star Wars" films — among the most anticipated on DVD — will be released in the digital format Sept. 21 in North America, LucasFilm Ltd. and 20th Century Fox announced Tuesday. A price for the package and international release dates were to be revealed later.

IGN ran an article about it here.

It looks to span four discs and follow the same format of the "Indiana Jones DVD" released last year. What seems to be the only gripe is that only the 1997 Special Edition of the film will be released while the original will left "to history". In my opinion, the original stands leaps and bounds superior, and commits grave errors such as the Greedo-Han conspiracy. Nontheless, for DVD fans, the moment of truth and the apex of the DVD culture has finally come.

Bow to the original STAR WARS.

what about when all 6 come out in a pack. ill definately have to get that, even though i know that 2 years later there will be a special edition and 16 more of them.

Hey! You said the Holy Grail!
Oh, and yes, I heard about this at the Official Star Wars Site, it'll be released some time around September

I don't really care about ep. 1-3. If they release them as a separate box set a few years from now *maybe* I'll buy them.

they're only releasing the special edition too...not the original theatrical or even just the THX remastered releases...

lame.

**** it! I was just about to post about this!
I can't wait....the perfect Christmas present!
