Well, what a wonderful few days it has been. Since EA didn't take the time to respond (or maybe even read) our emails about various stats-server security holes, it clearly showed us how much they care. Therefore, we came to the conclusion that modifying 5 million accounts wouldn't be that big of a deal.

That being said, accounts with ids from 40,000,000 to 45,000,000 now have all of their weapons unlocked.

What will be next week? Perhaps we'll give everyone their Distinguished Service Medal, or maybe we'll elevate everyone to the rank of Sergeant Major.

The ball's in your court, EA. Time's up at the buzzer, how well will you play?

Well, the medic unlock is great for long distance fights but sucks at close quarters. not enough damage.

ya but I wasnt expecting much in terms of stopping power..you're a medic after all ..the stock rifle sucks in close quarters too, even more so

the problem is that if you have it on auto it sprays too much if you hold down the fire button ..try using short bursts it can be very accurate at close range

The L85 should be one of the best guns in the game, better then the m16, m4, g36 and g3.

Well that's debatable, but for the sake of balance making the L85 as you describe it would just unbalance the game. Why get any other unlocks if the L85a1's got it all.

i guess you mean the american one which does suck quite a bit, up close anyway, the mec and chinese 1's own...i pick them over the medic unlock when i play...

Not even close up, it works great at medium range. It is better than the SMG at medium range, it loses and gains 0 accuracy so you can run and bunny hop and it won't matter.

Well, the l85a2 is which i thought was what was in the game, but it's an a1 so it would be on par with the m16.

And the L85 has awesome stopping power at close range. Just use your standard MP5 tactics (spray and pray) except expect to get a kill now. I win 8/10 times CQB.

OMFG I wish they had added the MP5K-PDW!!!1! That would've PEe OWNED.

And the 92f (can't decide if the BF2 one is a T) is not the gun i'd take to war as a sidearm, more likely a 1911 ACP, or a Glock 18 even.

The 1911 would be the standard choice, seeing as it's the standard sidearm for most the British and American forces.

Same here. Were you by any chance in that 4,000,000 and 4,500,000 group where the weapons were unlocked? People are still playing so this problem can't be affecting everyone. One strange thing when I could log in earlier, all the weapons were locked, even my SA80 which I had unlocked a month or so before it all went tits up.

Yes, I had all my weapons unlocked yesterday. Didn't like it one bit. Part of the fun is chosing a weapon you haven't played yet (and of course I couldn't resist I and tried out a couple yesterday ....). I just don't hope my stats will be screwed. I didn't chose for this to happen.
