How awesome would that be, to have bill gates walk up to you with a piece of paper saying write down whatever number you want and hell give you that ammount in money . lets just say i'de write particularly small, and would probably need several pens

I guess as long as the games remain the same, I could really care less who's logo is on the box.

Most developers that get bought out still get to keep most of their staff so it's usually the same people working on the same games, just a different company reaping the benefits in the end. And I think it's becoming pretty obvious EA likes reaping the benefits.

If valve ever let them selves get bought by EA I will shoot them in the head personally.., same with id software, I don't want the brilliant lead artist "kenneth scott" to fall in the greedy hands of EA.

but EA also has a finger in company to tell them what game EA wants to see.. if the company makes a good game they will tell them they have to make more sequesl, addons and what not to milk out the last penny they can squeese out of the fransize.. Valve, dont get raped by EA.. please

id will not be joining EA anytime soon. They are firmly affiliated with Activision, who is probably my favorite publisher.

I could see Valve switching publishers, but no way EA accepts STEAM.

How does it ruin the business? A big budget company like EA could actually increase the quality of the games made by a mid-level developer as the funding and standards would be higher. Just as long as they don't pull a Microsoft and try and monopolize the business, but there's plenty of good company's out there to prevent that. It's not like they're buying them with the intention of bringing them down though. It's just business and they're just trying to make more money, not ruin another company. I don't think they'd throw down a ton of money to buy a company with the intention of making their games actually worse.

We should also remember that id and valve aren't the only developers left in the world, other than the ones EA has taken over. :O
