Specific assessments of casualties and damage were not immediately available in Hokkaido, where the earthquake struck 36 miles under the seabed at 4:50 a.m. Friday (4:50 p.m. ET Thursday). But NBC News producer Arata Yamamoto reported from Tokyo that there was widespread damage to buildings in Hokkaido, while NHK television showed video of a fire at an oil refinery.

Discuss.

How do they know it's only a earthquake??? Maybe it's an alien invasion!

Is this earthquake HL2 related?

*aliens don't want Gabe to show them latest HL2 footage :) *

HAHAHA this is just TOO ironic. Whatever I don't have 1/2 the interest I had originally, its just fun to make fun of Valve.

Affirmative.... but isn't Valve showing HL2 off in Tokyo, which is even further south?

Wrong forum indeed, luckily it wont interfear with the show featuring HL², although nothing new will prolly be shown...

This Earthquake does have something to do with Half-Life 2 since Half-life 2 will be shown in Japan.

Gabe's plane must have landed today eh? :cheese:

You do know that Hokkaido is on the NORTH Island of Japan, and Tokyo is on the SOUTH Island. The TGS2003 will still go on.
