Easter egg

I found a little easter egg in Half life 2.

You see that symbol above the aim?

It's in Route kanal in the little resistance hideout with vortigaunt(spelling) and some random man. (the same place where you see gman on tv.)

And I remember seeing the same symbol on the steering wheel of the van that dog throws at the beginning of episode one.

If this was already been found, please feed this topic to the headcrabs.

Anyway, I found another easter egg.
If you open hl2.exe in notepad (lol)
(Make sure you have enabled text wraping)
And if you resize the notepad so about 50 characters are visible in one line
Scroll down until you see HL2 logo (Yaaaay!!!)
There are many HL logos in there each smaller than the previous (if you scroll down)
It appears to be upside down for some reason.

That's not an easter egg, it's the 8 bit-per-pixel (=256 colour) version of the .exe's icon. It's upside down because the .ICO (and incidentally .BMP) formats by default store the image's lines in reverse order.

The logo has been mentioned before by someone, it also appears somewhere else in the game which my memory fails to remember currently. I'm not sure if it's significance was ever worked out though.

It depends what are you looking at, if you are looking in "text easter egg" then you should look for an ASCII Half life 2 symbol (lambda), and if you are looking for the "wood texture easter egg" then look for the radiohead symbol.
