Hi,
I would like to overclock my p4 2.4 GHz and my GeForce 4 ti4200 to see what I can get out of it. However, I have never overclocked any of my hardware and would like easy step by step information on how to do it, anyone have any good sites? Also, I know that the advanced properties in the nvidia control panel should let you overclock with ease but I can not click that button, I have attached an image below. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Paul

I can oc with using default nvidia drivers with the clock speed tab.

Yes, but I can not access those properties for some reason as shown in the screen shot. Sgt.Igneri, thank you very much for your offer, I will contact you in a few minutes.

Rivatuner seemed to do it. What speed do you guys recommend I go to, I want to be real safe with this.
Thanks,
Paul

ya, do it until u see a difference, but do it subtley... not 1 mhz, more like 3 or 5 mhz.

As for overclocking your p4...well, the only way I know is to increase the Front Side Bus in the BIOS.

When your PC boots, look for a sign that says "Press [key] to enter setup" or something similar. Then, depending on your motherboard's BIOS, find FSB speed and crank it up a few MHz at a time.

Better yet, look for overclocking instructions for your motherboard or BIOS.

Disclaimer: Be careful. If your cpu or mobo fries to death it is not my fault. On the other hand, I like fries...

He only has one fan in his case, so 1mhz is the safest.

Thanks for the help, I will play around with the graphic card to get the best results. I probably wont touch my CPU as I only have 1 fan in there. If there are brownie points or anything like that on this forum I would like to give some to Sgt.Igneri, thank you so much for all your help over aim, I truly appreciate it.
