"om nom nom"

"Switching from beef to kangaroo burgers could significantly help to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, says an Australian scientist.

The methane gas produced by sheep and cows through belching and flatulence is more potent than carbon dioxide in the damage it can cause to the environment.

But kangaroos produce virtually no methane because their digestive systems are different. "

Would you like some sauce with your 'rooburger?

How would eating Kangaroos stop cows and sheep from passing gas?

The cows and sheep, seeing that they were no longer being eaten, would be less frightened and therefore less likely to break wind or release the contents of their bowels.

Supply and demand.

It won't actually change anything though.

I mean, it's not like Australia is one of the larger producers of beef.

Or are they? I don't know.

Zapp's reply is funnier.

The butcher down my road sells kangaroo steak, as well as ostrich eggs and woodpigeon. I'm yet to try any of the above. I plan to try 'em all one day.

Kangaroo is delicious, but makes me feel guilty.

You should feel guilty. Did you know that every time you kill a Kangaroo for food a Kangaroo dies? Its just awful.

Because I'm eating a kangaroo.

Those things can box, you know.

They live in a box before they come in a box too.

Confined Kangaroo makes the meat all tender and juicy!

So are cows. Does that stop us?

I mean, if every cow in existence looked like my avatar... we'd still eat them.

But... It's dancing!

And we have a lot of beef. So much we export it to everybody else.

Raziaar answered it earlier. If there was less demand for cows, there wouldn't a reason to raise them.

I just wanted to say, this thread is hilarious.

But anyway, the argument is still flawed. Most of the Beef that people consume comes from cows that have already passed through a stage of "Milk Production", that means they were raised at first to produce milk, after which they are slaughtered for their beef. People don't breed cows just for their beef and just waste their other resource. So, they'll still be chewing grass, digesting and releasing gas.

I say we develop cheap converter devices to be installed on every bovine anus that binds the carbon dioxide with a compound that will keep it earthbound.

you would be the first to use it?

save a cow. Eat a dolphin.

I couldn't eat a kangaroo. Not eating meat works well too

Sure why not. It's for the good of the environment, yeah?

:x

I couldn't see myself eating deer... but people eat them.

And I couldn't see myself eating alligator or swordfish, but I ate them.

I wouldnt eat reptiles they are so cute too

That's a pretty picture you paint, but it's not a universal one. Not all cattle are raised for Milk production, many are just raised for the slaughter house. So yes, shifting to Kangeroo meat and reducing cow numbers wouldn't be a bad idea. Fact of the matter is though, that we eat way more meat than we actually require.

We've been rearing domesticated animals for thousands of years, if theres any human caused climate change its probably got more to do with the towers belching shit into the atmosphere.

?

I didn't say I couldn't see anyone eating them.

I said, "I couldn't eat a kangaroo."

Kangaroo is probably the best meat you will ever eat.
No matter how much you cook it, it still remains moist and tender.
Makes a nice marinade meat too.

Kangaroo is quite tasty, unfortunately one time I had it was really tough for some reason. Put me off for a while.

Sure why not. It's for the good of the environment, yeah?

I love deer meat.
Tender and juicy
I wouldnt eat kangaroo though. Its back doesnt face the sky. Chinese saying of anything that back faces the sky can be eaten

Seeing a mother kangaroo and its joey doesn't make me tempted to eat them at all.
Honestly, could you really eat this?

I'd start with the eyes first.

Never to the degree that we are today though. Not even close.

words to live by.

Seriously, that is kind of interesting. I never heard that before

Facing the sky enough for me! Om nom nom nom.

They probably don't taste as good. The tastiness of an animal is in reverse proportion to its cuteness.
