EB games has offically PISSED me off!!

I gotta call last week that I'd recieve my X360 today (I pre-ordered it 2 months ago in september). But guess what?? They got shafted...the employee told me. She said that they are missing 25% of their shipment!! So now, it's a dilema. I will either get my X360 sometime tomorrow, if they ship the rest, or, I'll have to wait for another month! :angry: (Oh and by the way 30 other people also got shafted, so it's not just me that's angry...AND WE PREORDED IT SO WE COULD GET ONE TODAY!!!) Just annoying. Anyone else have these stories..cause I'm sure there are thousands of them.

UPDATE:

I have confirmed it was EB games' fault. This morning I went there to ask them if they had any XBOX 360 they are still holding for people. He asked my name and he said "well..there should be one in the back for you. I called you last week to confirm your pickup date as Nov.22." So he checked in the back...and of course none for me. There was 9 systems in the back for other people. The only good thing is that some people might not pick up their systems today. If they don't I get one tomorrow. If they do..I'm outta luck.

So it was EB games' fault and not Microsoft or the shipping company...which is a little more frustrating than usual.

Join the ranks. Its not EB though, its MS. They didnt make enough for demand, and thats been happening everwhere. Most pre-orders are actually getting it on the second shipment. If you get it tomorrow you should consider yourself lucky.

You going to complain because you only have to wait one month? Hah! I have to wait until Februrary at the earliest until everyone around me has their preorders fulfilled... Yea I have to wait 3 months at the minimum... That's 1/4 of a year for you non-math folk.

So just be thankful that you only have to wait a month...

By taking the pre-ordered XBOX360's and giving them to other customers who don't pre-order means that theoretically you'll be able to sell more in the long run while stock supplies are short. Because while the casual customer who walks in and buys a XBOX360 off impulse may not return if there's none on the shelf, you can always go back to the guy who pre-ordered the system.

This works if you underestimate demand, but I doubt Microsoft would be that foolish in this case. I mean, the XBOX 360 is currently the next big thing in the multi-billion dollar gaming industry.

Many places took upwards of 200+ pre orders before launch because they didn't know how many they were getting. When that store only gets 20 they can't possibly do anything about the other pre orders that didn't get one. It's not their fault.

You know what pisses me off though? The greed that is these used software stores. It's incredible. They will have like 20 used copies of each game on hand, but refuse to sell used games for more than $5 off new price. I've bought new games at other stores for less than the identical used games there! I hope they get some competition... where I used to live there was a local guy who ran a store called Replay and you could get used games there for $15 or $20 less than new price even when they were new releases. And they didn't screw you when you trade-in your games they gave you a fair value

one could see a conspiracy in this. you preordered yours. you've already paid them. The store could sell the ones that arrive regardless of preorders, making even more dinero then. They wouldn't potentially lose customers that would wait to get it from another store. So when they took 200 pre-orders months ahead and then were told they would get 20 there was nothing they could do. The rest of us had to freeze our asses off(I live in MN) and camp out over night just to get ours.

You should have gone to the store to be in the first 20 if you wanted one. Unless they had numbered the people who had pre orders so there was nothing you could do. At least you will get one eventally. With a product that is so popular as this not everyone that wants one can get one.

u know what's kinda funny? i read a TIME magazine wtih an xbox 360 on the front.. and it said that Gates was going to spend as much as it takes to PROMOTE the system.. now there's not nearly enough to even SELL?? LOL!! now, THAT is funny as hell... I'm waiting till the summer to get mine, if i even do, mainly because the demand will be less, i can walk in and get one, and some workarounds will be in place to hack the thing, possibly even bigger hard drives as well.

dude order from NCIX, they still have some and are in the process of getting more ...plus if you live outside of BC there's no PST ..I order from them all the time. the savings are worth it

EDIT: I cannot edit the first post. So I'll have to post it here. I got my X360 today. The guy at EB games had to go to great lengths to get it for me. I'm glad they fixed the mistake, and I'm happy I got it.
