Check out the bids on ebay for live8 tickets.

Edit, sorry, not advertising just drawing attention to the crazy bids.

I never consider eBay links adverts unless it's your own.
I bet Pink Floyd and the rumours of Michael Jackson doing Live 8 helped.

Woah at the craziness though...

my friend thought he could get some tickets at a reasonable price from ebay..

Bob Geldof encouraged people to do this.

What i think is stupid is that they say that it only costs £20,000 to feed a whole village for a year, why don't Bob Geldof just give them the money???

why dont all u ppl who seem to destroy bids get a life, if u win a car in an auction u do not have to keep it do you? your choice??/ so i say good luck to all u that are selling and i hope u all get a good price for them,,, why the fcuk shud we be worried about an aids ridden continent on the other side of the world.. when we have our own problems in this country????/ ie hospitals schooling etc etc... so once again i wish u all good luck in ur sales ,,

What a prick :D

That is absolutely disgusting, the guy is not only encouraging people to go against Ebay but he is also encouraging them to skip school for a few days to march to Edinburgh. I think the guy needs to rethink things before going off on a tirade.

If a few people want to sell their tickets, for whatever reason, let them.

Looking at the line-up, I ask....why?

I know that Pink Floyd will be there, but other than that...I don't see one person on that list I would pay money or even not pay money to see, and the fact that people are going to try to make a profit off a non-profit concert is just....euch!

I don't need a ticket, I could probably just climb on the roof since I live in Edinburgh.

I think I just heard on the news that eBay will be pulling those auctions from the site even though it isn't technically illegal.

well, that would suck, ebay's killing the free market system, one crappy concert ticket at a time

I don't get it, people are paying 10 million whatevers for shitty concery tickets?

£10,000,000.00 :o
Weren't these tickets the price of a text at first? Thats a stupid amount of money, and some lucky bugger is gonna be rich from a concert you can watch on TV!

No you guys don't get it.

Bob thinks its disgusting rightly that people are making money from those tickets for personal gain, so to combat it hes told them to bid £1000000000000000000...infiinite pounds etc to **** up all the auctions so these guys can't sell them because they are unbelievably shallow.

Geddit?

In other words lets all go bid 50,000,000 on all the tickets, haha, that would be fun.

These are the ones for Hyde Park. So it would have to be a tall house.

(Where do you live in Edinburgh?)

The scary thing is, you are legally bound to honour your bid, would make an interesting court case (till it inevitably gets thrown out)...

Bob Geldof shouldn't be organising concerts to raise awareness with the G8 leaders, he should be trying to raise awareness with African leaders. Showing them that if they can all work together, they can make turn their countries around one by one and sort themselves, their people and their economies out instead of these stupid genocides and civil wars and corruption that goes on there.
