Owned, but innovation? Not sure what exactly?
Characters maybe? Not physics. Hmm?

Physics implemented in gameplay

MOST INNOVATIVE

HL2 showed the best innovation of any game, the differences may not have been very big, but noone elses were either.

Very nice! What makes this even better is that it won on a magazine that rates console games and all. Woot!

looks to me like hl2 wasn't even in competition with halo 2 in thises catgories . so quit being a hl2 kiddie

If you'd like to take a sneaky peak at the Best Game award, you'll see Halo 2 coming in third. I'd call that being on competition with it, but then again, I'm just being logical ;)

wow, they put a 2D gamecube game above Halo 2?

sounds like they arent afraid to stand out from the crowd :)
might have to check out that magizine.

Haven't played DX:IW?

The physics is there, but tied into the gameplay in DX:IW? That's another matter :dozey:

Incidently, where did this awards info derive from? They didn't even list HL² in the Christmas issue in their games of the Year section (hell old Gordon wasn't even on the cover line up ....).
