the fake scores i posted about earlier (before the edit) were different from the ones in this thread. these haven't been confirmed one way or the other.

The guy who posted them said he got the scores from two seperate people who both gave the same scores. It's a matter of trust atm. :(
 
We'll know for sure later this week (Thursday I think is when the mag comes out).
 
True - although they have got the scores correct for as long as I can remember. Fingers crossed :)

So if that's true...how many review score records have been broken, or equalled by HL2?

I'm detecting a slight pattern here...maybe it isn't all hype...maybe HL2 is as good as the scores suggest! :E

hehe - primarily a console forum, similar to ntsc-uk. Where I go for non pc gaming news and chat :)
 
We won't know how much is hype until we play it... but I guess that's obvious. After 5 (or is it 6?) years in development, this trend makes sense.

I hope my computer doesn't have too much trouble with it. :E
 
I think Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time scored 10/10 in Edge, possibly 9/10... I remeber buying the mag for the review.

Ppl have acused Edge of being biased against every format at one time or another :)

On a side note - Rome and PES 4 both got 9/10 \o/
 
I can now 100% confirm this from an alternative source. Half-Life 2 received 10/10 in Edge.

NTSC-uk's forum. :D

Well done Valve! Getting 10/10 from Edge on a game is like trying to get blood from a rock. ;)
