Editing/Modding basics, help?

I've completed Half Life 2 twice now (one with cheats :sniper: ), and am wanting to get more out of it.

is anybody able to give me a link to a decent tutorial on beginners map making and modding? I've done a bit of mapping before, using UnrealEd (so...buggy...), and and several original quake map editors. but i have absolutely no idea on how to begin making a mod.

any help please?
