Ejecting

So many times I eject from a vehicle and I get myself killed because the stupid game ejects you in front of it. I have two examples. Once, I was in a buggy on Zatar Wetlands heading towards a US outpost. I was clear across the map, and I made the drive without a scratch. I made my way to the outpost and no one was there. I said, "GREAT! Let me get out of this buggy and hide!" I jumped out of the buggy, and I find myself dead because I got hit by my own buggy. :| I drove halfway across the map to suicide myself. Another example: I was in a helicopter on Kubra Dam. I saw a brand new, enemy attack helicopter and I jump out of it, hoping to land near the helicopter, and before I could do anything, I am dead because my own helicopter hit me on the way out. :|
This is something that has to be changed. (like getting killed by a vehicle going .0001 MPH) Anyone else have this happen to them?

YES. It's even worse when you want to get out of a moving plane that's tilted at an angle; pressing "E" just kills you flat. And sometimes, if a heli is spinning slowly, you can get hit by your own tail.

Knowing BF2, I'm relieved that killing yourself doesn't count as a TK and deduct loads of points.

Yeah, they should add that in for planes, it'd be realistic and cool. As for ground vehicles just have you jump out to the side, waaaaaaaay to the side.

This is one of the issues that needs to be fixed. Cmon the vehicle will push you out of the way, not kill you.

i hate it when i am getting out of a boat and then Bam! your dead because of the retarded game...now i am scared to get out of the boat untill it stops which is forever

I actually don't have a problem with this, there is so little risk I do it in clan matches. The only time when you seem to get run over is when you are going up or down hill, or turning of course.

Okay guys, if you're on a slope like / dont get out of buggies, cos you will get out on the left side, and after you get out the vehicle will slide, crushing you. Either turn it so its \, or _ problem solved. Also its quite normal to expect that you have to slow down to get out without being damaged.

Dont get out while turning, bailing out of any aircraft is risky. I've only killed myself a couple times with airplanes so far.

You know what's fun...climbing to an altitude of 4000 in a fighter jet and parachuting all the way down. You can like, circumnavigate the entire map a couple times in a parachute alone.

Realistically, when you eject, you'd have to curl your legs up and pray that your feet don't get caught on something on the way out and get ripped off.

Then, it's a slow parachute ride down. You'd have nothing but a loaded pistol and a knife on you. When you eject, a emergency packet filled with rations and more ammo is also shot out of the aircraft. When you land, you find the packet, recooperate, radio for help, and stock up on ammo.

That's if you even FIND the packet.

There was one time that i jumped out the back of a very slow moving apc but carried on running, accidently bumping into the back of the apc as it rolled away from me and am suddenly thrown back and am dead.

Yeah, I've died SO MANY TIMES to jumping out of a jeep or something and dying cause it love taps me. I mean, my roomate who rarely watches me sees me die to it and is like "god, you die to that more then you do people!"

It's sad
