Oil price's have bumped electric car prices to a competeable level, they do 4 times the milage on a full battery at the same price as your usual gas car's and you can plug em in to a 110v power outlet for recharging, horrah, it's starting to finally happen.

I wonder if it would lose charge such as MP3 players and Cell Phones.. So in a couple of years your battery could run just like a car that drives only on fuel.. Hmm..

I guess it depends what battery it uses, the battery in usual veichles last's for .. well, a bloody long time.

Well since the electricity usually comes from coal or nuclear power and the batteries in the cars are usually very toxic and poisionous and need to be replaced where the old ones are sent to a dump. Electric cars are usually worse (or just as bad) for the environment then gas cars.

Also the poor power when in cold conditions (I'm in Canada) and little power in high winds and not many charging station. Plug are already overtaxed electrical system (blackouts anyone?).

Not to be a downer, I really want this tech to become great but right now it is just not practical and harmful to the environment. Maybe sometime soon or hopefully hydrogen cars will take their place.

its gonna be shit when there are no more real cars left. no more formula 1 etc. and imagine top gear with nothing but 15mph electric/hydrogen crappy cars. ffs.
