My friend just let me basically have (borrow indefinitely) an Epiphone Les Paul. Thing is it's just the guitar and a pick, so I guess I should pick up an amp and I'd have all I need to start practicing with it? (new to electric guitar and basically music as a whole) I'm sure some of you would be knowledgeable, so what's a suggestion for a cheap but still decent amp a beginner should get?
And I can already see this is gonna be a problem, it hurts like hell pressing down hard enough on the chords to get the frets to sound like they should. Is there anyway I can get new fingers that are immune to pain?
