I just tried this manual one again for the first time in ages. I forgot how awful thoes things are... they take like 4x as long to use, the make your face hurt after, they do just about as good of job.

So the moral of the story is, get yourself a damn electric razor if you don't have one already.

Electric just doesn;t get close enough. And I'm a hairy beast. I shave at 8 in the morning and I have a 5 o'clock by noon. So, the only thing that works for me is a manual.

Mach 3 FTMFW!

I have an electric shaver im just too lazy to figure out how to use it :/

Electric doesn't shave well enough I tried using it for two whole weeks and every morning my face felt like shit.

Kickass! You just earned 500 cool points with me. They can be redeemed later for prizes.

And yeah, electrics are for pussies, real men use manuals. And tough men use knives. And tough-ass mofos like myself shave completely dry.

I shave dry and im about as tough as cptstern D:

i use a butter knife.

I use an electric, but when in wanna get really clean i have to use a razor.

In Australia there's a razor which advertises shaving with there razors as a sexually stimulating experience. :|

I use mach-3 razors, evidently there's a new 5-blade thing out now? I used to shave dry for years; had a can of shaving-cream that lasted me until I was done with college. After a while, shaving dry doesn't really work anymore, the razor catches on the hair and your skin gets irritated.

I'd like to try an electric sometime, but I know most of them aren't very good - seems like it would end up being a waste of 30-60 dollars.

Mach 3 for my face - full hot, wet shave. Pisses on any electric from a great height.

And then a Headblade for my head. Smooth as you like.

Electric "razors" are only useful if you're in a rush.

I use an electric one. Too lazy to shave though so i wait until it's longer than stubble and annoying, then shave.

I've got a 'leccy razor, it's only good for squirting some aftershave balm on yourself as you shave. You really need to use it twice a day for any effectiveness.

I actually mostly use what seems to be the standard here, a mach 3. If you ask me, a wet shave leaves you feeling cleaner.

Perhaps spending more then £15-30 might see you with a more effective shaver ;)

I use an electric purely for convenience and time saving in the morning. I just shave again if I have to go out at night to do anything. I'm so glad my shaver is waterproof though, I get a nice clean shaver head ever day :D

I use manual... Never tried electric.

Likewise.

I did electric razors for the first week when I was getting used to shaving.
But damn those bastards hurt, they basically rip the hairs out of your face... it's the equivalent of using tweezers to pluck each individual hair out. x.x

Electric razors actually irriated my skin much more than a good sharp blade, and I had a decent one. Manuals are okay if I only shave once every 3 days or so

I actually like my stubble though...

I use a Norelco electric for my face, never bothered to use a manual, but it seems to work just fine

lol

the multiple blade things on manual ones is getting way out of hand... pretty soon they'll have a blade for each of the hairs on your face.

Oh, you shave dry and then you use a news paper for aftershave:E .
I personaly use Mach 3 Turbo and it gets the job done every time

electric is only good occasionally ..or if you only have a bit of stubble ..for the rest of us manual shaving ftw ..in my experience a $1 bic shaver is more effective than an expensive Remington electric ..there's just no comparison

oh and I'd use a straight razor if I had either

1. time/skill
2. blonde swedish massusse who shaves me every morning

Mach 3 Turbo here, buying the stupid blades costs a fortune though. 11euros, arse!

wouldn't your wife get mad? D:

btw, just shaved with my new electric I got for my birthday... it did just as good of job as the 5 bladed one I used last night... but only took like 1 min compared to like 10 for the manual.

I think my face clock may be a bit slow, my 5 o'clock usually comes in about two weeks late :(

I hadnt thought that far in advance ...yes? hmmm maybe I can get her a swedish massusse's outfit ...less anger ..which is good when handling a straight razor

Electric... it takes like one minute compared to five with the manual.

And this is why you utterly fail at life. Shaving should never take more than 5 minutes.

I got it for £25 from Argos at the sale time.....

oh ffs, be a man, use a syth.

Electric or manual are good, the sonic manual ones are the best imo (battery powered vibrating motor, sonic my arse).

If it shakes and buzzes... it's "sonic." Sound is just vibration.

EDIT: That is, unless they're talking about the speed at which it vibrates. If they mean the head moves at up to mach 1... I doubt it.

o_O no, just usually when you think of sonic, you think of a high tech high frequency sound device that creates the vibration, when really the fancification is just a sales pitch to charge something extorsionate.. I might aswell use a regular razor and sellotape a vibrator to the base to double up as a larger handle.

Mach 3 Turbo. With Mach 3 Turbo Gel. And Hugo Boss aftershave. Although I like it when I grow a "10 o'clock shadow"

I use one just because I'm lazy. If I had the time I'd shave manually.
