Eliminate the BF sub category

Just played BF2 for about a half hour. The engine is utter crap, the GUI is utter crap, the performance is utter crap, the gameplay is utter crap, and EA is utter crap.

2142 isn't as bad, but it's still lesser crap.

Lets close this sub category and replace it with a much more played game.

I disagree that the BF series sux, but seriously, it doesnt deserve its own sub-forum.
 
It doesn't deserve it nowadays but back when the demo was released and then the full game, general games was all about battlefield. But today, yeah it has served its purpose.

Oh yeah, it's dead. It was needed back in the day, though.

the game is awesome still, but I tend to agree that the subforum is unneeded.

(performance issues btw? I was running bf2 with full graphics (and 1680x1050 res) and getting 60-80 fps)
 
We need a ****ing Forza 2 forum, the thread is pretty big
 
We need an anti-EA and Sony forum tbqfh.
 
Yeah, kill it.

Maybe when Quake Wars is released, we can have a forum for that and then a year or so later we can kill that one too.
 
Don't want to create a thread for this so I'll post here:

Stats have been down for several days now, apparently Gamespy ****ed up and EA doesn't give a rats ass.
 
wow...go figure. Stats was the only thing keeping bf2 up. :(
 
I've pm'ed some mods about this last year, including Munro, and suggested replacing it with a "Consoles" sub-cat. They never got back to me.
 
I say we make an automotive forum. I'm sure many people would like to talk about their RX7's, etc. ;)

there's already plenty of car forums, all you'd get here is a bunch of people talking about stuff they don't know about and/or understand.

Lol, too true. Think we need to move this thread into the off-topic section because more people visit there than the rest of the site. Most people don't visit this section because it's dead lol.
 
Honestly, I love BF2 and everything, but it isn't near as bustly as it used to be. Now it's a graveyard. A graveyard of my 800+ hours of gameplay... :O
 
We should have a game-news sub-forum, all the game news is posted there, and all the discussion about games is in General Games Chat.
