I've just seen the the trailer for the game, pretty fast paced. But I just can't help that this could be another farce, similar to LOTR: BFME. Obviously we won't know till the reviews are out. The only real problem I have at the moment is that I don't like the scale of the units.

What are you hopes for this game?

I feel that BFME was more organic and original (which wasn't necessarily a good thing), whereas I'm sure this will be more like Generals (after all, BFME was based on the Generals engine, and the whole reason it needed to be modifies so much was because it was centred around melee and not guns). If this game is like generals, only better, I'll be jumping for the moon. Mind you- I wouldn't be surprised if it's a failed attempt, either.

This one should finally be the Star Wars RTS that everyone has been waiting for. I, too, liked BFME, but it wasn't quite as epic feeling as I would have hoped(though still tons of fun).

Empire At War looks to be pretty epic, what with its space battles and then land battles to take over planets. What is so cool about a game like this is that you can alter the course of Star Wars history and you get to pick and fight all the battles yourself(hopefully).

I am quite sure from all of the talk of late from the heads of the studio that they will not let this be just another mediocre StarWars title, just like the other few recent ones. They have said that they were focusing too much on the franchise and spitting out game after so-so game just because it was Star Wars. It looks like they are finally learning...now if they would just bring back the adventure genre they did so well at...:-(

i really like the looks of this game... unfortunately that producer is a huge queermo.

If they make a patch that extends the amount of units you can have on one map, maybe in the future when polygon count will be an obsolete meaning, you can truly have EPIC!
