What type of game is Empire Earth? I heard you can go through ages etc, but I mustn't have liked the demo of the 1st game much, otherwise I would've bought it.

What's it liked compared to Rise of Nations? I'll d/l the demo of the first one.

Just played the demo for about an hour. It seems like a copy of Rise of Nations, but not as good. AI is terribly easy to steamroll on normal (destroy a few buildings and it will surrender) and the path finding of the units is inexcusably atrocious.

Sweet, yet another half-assed sequel.

I'll find out just how bad it is for myself in a few minutes.

Not looking too bad graphically, although I doubt the gameplay is anything special judging from the first two.

Were the expansion and Rise of Legends any good?

I managed to find a copy of RoN, but couldn't find the expansion anywhere... I've passed RoL a few times in the store but the demo felt really generic... but it was a feast for the eyes, so I pretty much just ignored it.

Edit : Holy christ, I can't even ****ing play it.
It plays so damn poorly, I can play Crysis with everything on medium without much trouble and Company of Heroes + OF on high.
But this game runs like ass even with everything on low!

What the hell?!... I'm talking about the EE3 demo btw.

I have RoL. I guess that's what you're talking about lucid? I have a 3ghz, 1gb, x800xl and it ran pretty decent the last time I played. It got pretty samey after a while though. You just repeat the same building process every level.

I was actually talking about the EE3 demo, RoL ran fine for me with everything cranked up.

I have EE1. I thought a pretty decent game. Never tried EE2 though, because I heard it sucked, and now I see the same with EE3.

Is it me, or did the installation of the game feel like you were installing malware. My computer was extremely sluggish during installation that I honestly thought fileplanet shipped one big virus

Empire Earth is the worst strategy game I've ever played. I won't be bothering with this.

Not original at all, just Age of Empires with worse graphics and more ages and more badly modeled units.
