Enabling the console

Sorry about this thread. I have tried the search option, but have not been able to find what i am looking for.

Some friends of mine that are german and danish have a problem enabling the console. They have selected it in options/keyboard/advanced, but still cannot activate it in game. I cannot help, as i use the UK keyboard layout. Some advice would be much welcome.

probably the easiest way would be to add -console to the launch options. thats available in propeties in the game menu

he means that you go to :
play games>counter-strike:source>properties>launch options
and then add " -console" without the "" .

Right click on counterstrike source in your steam game menu to access the properties.

i think he means that its enabled, but it wont open when pressing the key during the game.

Have you tried assigning a different key in the Keyboard settings? Or just try pressing different keys till it pops up (you can do this on the main menu, no need to join/start a game).

what i did was start the game with "-console" and typed on the console: "bind i toggleconsole"
