The error reads:

CBaseEntityList::AddNonNetworkableEntity: no free slots!

It installed fine(steam and half-life2: episode one) I launch the game, it gets to the main menu, go to start new game, and it loads. I see things flying through space(the very begining of level) then it loops and I get that above message. I went to steampowered site(supposed to have support help) but it didnt have an answer. I tried calling their number, and they say to go to that site, which doesnt help.

Anyone else know what to do or try? Anyone else have that problem and fixed it?

How often does it happen?

As usual, update your drivers, reboot and try again.

Rite after Dr. Breen floats by on the screen in the opening cut scene. It wont go any farther then that(gameplay)

My computer has a new graphics card and was recently updated.

Also try verifying Episode one files.

My dad updated it with a 'Verto GeForce FX Graphics Card'. That also came with DirectX 9, GeForce FX Drivers. It came with that(im looking at the manual)

Okay, I downloaded it, installed and restarted my computer. Still didnt work =/ The sound doesnt work either, but it should still run the game...Im thinking my sound card is not working or something. I have no idea what is wrong. I tried uninstalling and then install it again. Still the same.

Full system specs?? I have enough memory, a lot more then needed.

click start at the bottom left of your monitor. click 'run' and type in dxdiag. what processor, how much RAM, and what video card does it say you have?

Processor: Intel Pentium lll 900MHz
384MB RAM(after loading the game)
DirectX 9.0c

no offense but you REALLY need an upgrade. your cpu is probably really having a hard time processing the game. try lowering the graphical settings and the resolution to 800/600 and turn HDR off. that might be your problem

Well he can get away with 384 but i wouldn't recommend it, same can't be said for his processor though.

Min:

• 1.2 GHz Processor
• 256MB RAM
• DirectX 7 graphics card
• Windows 2000/XP/ME/98
• Mouse
• Keyboard
• Internet Connection

Preferred:

• 2.4 GHz Processor
• 512MB RAM
• DirectX 9 graphics card
• Windows 2000/XP
• Mouse
• Keyboard
• Internet Connection

thanks. i didnt know where to find that at. ill try it, and i know it needs upgraded, but my dad wont pay for it =/

Okay, im going to get Intel Pentium 4. That should be enough, its over 2 GHz. Guess Ill try and add some memory. UGH, why cant it just be for xbox...more simple. And im not a he, lol. If it still doesnt work(after upgrade) ill post again.
