I just crawled out of the vent and killed some headcrabs, then alyx opens the gate for you and theres a little office with grenades, and then you go through a hallway and kill some combine. Then theres one of those blue energy field things blocking my way, and i can see where its plugged in, but thats guarded by bulletproof glass. Ive been stuck for over an hour HELP!

You can throw a nade through that field? I played hell using the grav-gun to shoot the barrels in that room, eventually knocking out the whole panel.

That is what is so great about the game...the level design. There are so many strategies obviously the one we used took the LONGEST. I spent nearly 10 minutes. lol. Surprising it never got boring.

You know what's even funnier there are grenades lying around when you look through the window. Valve gave us an oblivious hint.

Seriously though the level design in HL2 is the best in any fps I have played. There is one part where a door is locked and you use your gravity gun to push open the bar. It's these little things that make it so realistic. Where as Doom 3's level design made the game SOOOOOO boring.

I like saving just before a puzzle just to find out how many ways I can solve it.

Grenades, barrels, yanking out with gravity gun, throwing other physics props.... so many choices

Oh and I'm surprised people didn't realize that you could yank out cables (in that teleporter scene in kleiner where the cable gets knocked out and all....

My first clue that you could do that sort of thing was when I yanked a TV set out of its socket at the beginning. :O
