We thought it was about time more details about the game was made public. Therefore i will explain how the mechanics of Enter the Tribes work.
I hope you will take your time to read this and see what our mod is actually about and how team work is made essential in the mod.

Enter the Tribes
Enter the Tribes is unique in how teamwork is necessary in the game. This has been made through various systems (will be described later) making Enter the Tribes a mod specificly produced for player tribes vs player tribes (though ffa still can be played through an anti-moron system we implemented which also will be explained later). Everything has been scaled down to allow larger maps.
Quick Introduction:
In the deep amazon jungle where the civilized man haven't set foot yet a massive tribal war is in its most dangerous stage. Two tribes have enganged in a large battle to eliminate each other. With each of their abilities(explained later) the battle for survival in the jungle has begun. Enter the Tribes does not include a class system. Instead we have made everyone able to pick up every weapon making them able to select their inventory themselves instead of premade inventories.
(Singleplayer story not revealed before march 2006)
Where you start out:
Each tribe own their own village. In this village you start out with your team and are provided with a small selection of blunt weapons and tools(which will be explained later). These weapons and tools won't lead you to victory ( --> See Winning conditions ) so more powerful weapons will have to be built. --> See Construction of weapons
To be able to build more advanced weapons players will have to gather ressources. --> See Ressources
Through the use of these ressources players can build various forms of huts in the village giving access to new abilities depending on which hut is built. --> See Construction of huts
This village is the main point for building the various things needed for victory. This includes the construction of weapons ,light armor, small traps for use in the jungle and new huts. A village has place for 10 huts. Should this village be lost there is still hope. Throughout the game a tribe will be able to build one outpost in the map. --> See Construction of outposts
This outpost gives access to a small selection of huts and therefore a selected cast of buildable weapons. An outpost allows 4 huts.
Spawn System:
As seen in most mods Enter the Tribes does not feature a round based spawn system. Instead our spawn system features spawning on a time base. In the beginning one player can spawn every 8th second. These spawn times and spawns per time base can be altered through various huts. --> See Construction of huts
Ressources:
In order to make your tribe survive you will need several ressources. These ressources come in the form of Wood and Stone. But beware, the ressource gatherers are almost defenceless towards attacks since their main weapon is a tool. This only allows for a sidearm which often has a small damage rate --> See Construction of weapons. These attacks do not only come from enemy tribes but also the vicious animals of the jungle --> See Animals of the jungle.
Wood - is the most required ressource needed. In order to create the most basic weapons and huts wood is needed. Wood is gathered by chopping down trees in a curtain are which allows wood chopping. When chopping down a tree make sure it doesn't fall down on either you or your team as it kills a player on impact. From there wood must be chopped into small planks. After chopping the tree into planks they must be transffered to the village (or outpost) from where these ressources can be used to create various items and/or huts. When wood has been placed inside the village area it will be possible to use them without further moving them.
Stone - is required for more advanced weapons and huts. Stone is gathered by picking up stone shards from the ground. These can be found all over the map but are often found near a river.
After the ressources are gathered they have to be carried back to the tribe village from where further work is required to make something out of the ressources. Just as wood it is possible to use the stone as long as it is dropped within the village area without further moving it.
Construction of outposts:
An outpost is a small area which allows a few huts to be built. These areas can be found at a couple of places in the map. These can be used both as a reserve village if your village is getting destroyed or at the same time it will give you the ability to build 4 more huts giving you access to even better things. Should a village be destroyed the outpost will function as a spawnpoint.
Outposts can give benefits such as the ability to raise the amount of Spawn huts up to four making it possible to spawn 5 players (20s) at a time instead of 4 or being able to build 4 time huts(-6s) instead of 3 (-4.5s).
Construction of huts:
In order to process the ressources gathered additional huts will be necessary to make more advanced items. From the start the village will only have the most basic huts making only a few wooden weapons buildable.
In order to make new huts various ressources will be required depending on the type of hut. By using a curtain tool players will be able to build the huts giving them access to new and more dangerous weapons and skills.
Huts:
Spawn Hut – This hut grants the tribe another spawn but makes the spawn time larger. So instead of 10 sec for a spawn of one player it would with a spawn hut now spawn 2 players in 12 sec. Everytime a spawn hut is build the time for spawns take +2s. There can only be built 3 of these huts, unless you got an outpost, leaving 4 players spawned in 16s.
Time Hut – A time hut gives a tribe the ability to makes spawns faster. Each time hut gives a -1.5s to the spawn time making spawns faster. An example would be to build 3 of these and you got 3 spawn huts at the same time. Instead of 16s (10s + 3* 2s) you get spawns in 11.5s. Therefore time huts can make your spawn rates faster and you will be able to protect your village faster.
Tool Hut – This hut gives you access to more advanced tools which are required for building advanced huts or to gather ressources faster. These could improve the speed it takes to get weapons built so they are ready when players spawn. It also gives access to a tool for building defensive measures around the village. This includes a small destroyable wall for holding the enemy back a little and small towers.
Basic Weapons Hut – This hut gives players access to the most basic wooden weapons --> see construction of weapons
Advanced Weapons Hut – This hut allows the construction of stone edged weapons increasing the maximum damage of the weapons. Although the damages increases the attack speed is slowed down on some of the weapons.
Basic Shield Hut – This hut lets players get access to the basic wooden shields which can be used to block attacks. --> see Construction of weapons for more info on shield stats.
Advanced Shield Hut – This hut gives access to more strong shields but makes the blocking speed slower. --> see Construction of weapons for more info on shield stats.
Health Hut – This hut gives players the ability to heal themselves of their wounds. To heal themselves they must be standing within the hut. It heals 5% per second. If enemies are within the village range the Health Hut stops functioning (to prevent people camping in there for constant heals while in combat).
Wooden wall – Gives protection to the village and can absorb 200 dmg per section.
Wooden tower – Gives players with bow and arrow an advantage when the enemy tribe attacks the village. They will be able to shoot down on the enemy untill they either kill them with their own archers, destroy the tower or crawl up and kill them with melee weapons.
By building more advanced huts you dont only get access to new weapons. You will also get access to defensive measures such as wooden walls and traps. These defensive measures can give you an advantage if your village should get attacked.
Construction of weapons:
After the ressources have been gathered players will have to build the weapons using the huts they have. By entering a curtain hut players will be able to build the weapons that the huts gives access to. After the weapons are built they will be placed in a pile in the village making it available to everyone to pick up.
Basic Weapons :
Wooden club – Gives 30 damage and has a fast reaction time.
Bow – Wooden arrows – Gives 50 damage on a good hit and is has a small recoil.
Wooden Spear – Gives 55 damage but is hard to handle because of its length has a fast reaction time.
Advanced Weapons:
Stone axe – Gives 55 damage and has a fast reaction time.
Stone club – Gives 45 damage and has a fast reaction time.
Stone edged arrows and improved Bow – Gives 90 damage on a good hit and but has a large recoil.
Stone edged spear – Gives 70 damage but is hard to handle because of its size. Has a fast reaction.
(Damage notes are listed as maximum damage if hit on the body. Hitting the head = instant death)
Basic Shields:
Small wooden shield– can absorb 200 damage and has a quick reaction time.
Medium wooden shield – can absorb 300 damage and has a medium reaction time.
Large wooden shield - can absorb 400 damage and has a slow reaction time.
Advanced Shields:
Improved small shield – absorbs 350 damage and has a quick reaction time.
Improved medium wooden shield – can absorb 500 damage and has a medium reaction time.
Improved large wooden shield - can absorb 700 damage and has a slow reaction time.
(Ressources needed for building the weapons and shields are atm. not decided)
In order to maintain a fun level an anti-moron system have implemented. Players will be able to block curtain players from using their weapons after they have been built. This will make sure that no one just go steal the weapons and drop them in the jungle.
The more advanced a weapon, the more damage it gives. Some weapon might have a high damage rate but is slow at handling, where others are less damage but fast handling.
Winning condition:
In order to win the match the enemy tribe must be destroyed. This is done by destroying all Spawn huts in the village. Should the enemy tribe destroy the main village and no winning announcement is announced it means you have an outpost and respawning has begun there. Therefore the enemy tribe will now have to find this outpost and destroy it while also protecting the main village so they won't be able to rebuild their main village.
A clanmatch is built up on points. Destroying enemy huts gives 5 points and completely eliminating a tribe gives 50. After a tribe is eliminated the game resets for yet another round untill the time has been reached or the max point (120) has been reached. So protecting your village is important while also trying to destroy the enemy village.
