Count me in. Can't resist a challenge. My scribble is halfway there and only 3 days left. I assume the deadline is Greenwich midnight? gonna need every second on this one. Boy am I stoned on a sleeping pill and should have gone to bed an hour ago. I can hardly type but losing track of what a keybaord does very rapidly is keeping me quite entertainained. Is there a prize for th winny person? I suggest these pills ther reallly ar egreat, maybe in sa small rtrohpy or we could posr it yea thinjk o thdt
I bettr go or i wil wake up withj a forhead full of keys stuck to it, thst would hurrt and loook daft as cats asasses

As for prizes, the more popular these become, the better the quality of entries, the more chances of prizes later down the line. No prize for this first one though.

and i'm doing my RS essay now, i stayed up till 1 in the morning last night reading LOTF, and i haven't gone to bed before 12 for about a week now... so i can't see how you need a sleeping pill! i'm fine!!!

Suicide laughs nervously at his bold statement, nodding his head in reassurance. He was right of course, he didn't need sleep. His schoolwork wasn't suffering at all. Leaning back in his chair he giggled for a second, but then the smile slowly melted off his face, and he was left staring blankly at the computor moniter. His hesitation was enough to convince anyone of his drowsy urgings for bed- but he quickly shook this feeling away with a shake of his head and sipped his coffee. Clenching his eyes tight, Suicide remembered the bitter taste of the uncomftoble drink, but continued to unwillingly gulp down the brown, coarse liquid that seemed to scrape his throat. Glancing at the half finished RS essay his mind faltered and he lost all grip on reality, and as his eyes slowly closed he drifted into a light sleep. Darkness engulfed him. Time was irrelavent. Thinking was a burden he didn't want to bear. A curvacious woman walked over to Suicide's tired face and lifted it up with one soft movement from her hand, so that he was staring longingly into her welcoming eyes. Letting out a breif giggle she slowly but carefully started to undo the buttons on her oversized blowse- the only thing she was wearing- until it hung from her sholdurs like washing on a line. Like the material was some heavenly silk, it slid down her smooth sholders till he was staring at-

Awaking violently from his dream, Suicide vowed never, EVER, EVER to look at one of The Dark Elf's strange, surrealist drawings of a naked woman again. Another experience like that and he could seriously see himself truning homosexual. breathing a long, worn- out sign he raished his fingers, clicked them as if he were a pianist ready to concuct a masterpeice, and began to type. No more coffee. Damn.

just to swerve this back on topic... once cr0m has recovered i can tell he's gonna paint a picture until his eyelids droop with weariness, then he's gonna reveal the most amazing masterpeice and wipe the floor with everyone. Either way he's in direct competition with you, DE :D though i seriously can't see how anything could beat your amazing 3D render.

It's based on an idea, not an actual painting. It's 100% my work :p

If there was any prizes to win I´d probably try harder. Crap, I thought I broke my tablet pen yesterday and spent all day playing the new maps for HL2 TeamDM. :/
 
Giving me a challenge deadline is like sticking a big red button in front of me with the words 'DON'T PUSH' on it.
Besides, it's another one to add to the portfolio :D
 
Seems to simple. Not really a fan of those colors ether.
 
Fair enough. But simple how? in composition? content? skill? I'm interested to know.

Given more time I would have done the entire room instead of one wall, but I started late. The colour palette comes from an old photo of a concentration camp wall, it's not supposed to be colourful or cheery in any way - the damp and cracked paint is supposed to give a feeling of age and neglect. The card is a prisoner of war ID in the style of an extreme Dutch dictatorship, a kind of alternative nightmare reality 'what if' scenario.
 
I like 'what if' scenarios, they are just so cool.....except for Iron Storm :P
 
hm, I think Croms pic is far from being simple and also the colours are perfect!!
You´ve got such a big resolution on it too. I cant work on anything with that kind of res. My computer can´t take it, as it keeps on crashing and freezing if I try to work on something bigger :(
 
I think you should go get a new one....wanna trade your tablet with mine? :P

lol, I´ve broken 2 tablets before, but luckily, now I can buy only a new pen, and not the whole tablet, as its wireless :)

Thx :E It's not how big it is, but what you do with it that matters.

The actual file res is 300dpi, @A4 size. The one I uploaded is half that.
