I'm definately in. But er... what's the point in this? are we going to be discussing the individual entries in these threads, or are they just to see how many poeple are entering?

and did my constant nagging to get a competition forum influence this new competitions sub section at all? you could just lie and say yes, it would make me happy.

You post your WIP images, or sketches and idea's for the contest in your thread, people can reply, give advice etc.

When you've got your final one, you post it in the proper contest thread, as an attachment and linked to an external image (so its easier to view without clicking through attachments)

both the linked image and the attached file MUST match, or you'll be disqualified

Well the more serious I take this, and the more popular it becomes, the more chance that there could well be prizes (not for this first one)

But it has to do well, to make it worth its while. And it needs to be done properly like this to have a chance.

So the first few contests will be to see how well things go, if people behave and if its worth sorting prizes for the winners later on.

Can you ask these in the discussion thread too, not in your own threads thanks.

i can garantee you that 90% of the entries will contain an eyeball skewerd by a pencil. It's just the logical idea that your brain comes to when thinking of "pencil" "eyeball" and "surreal"...

Here's another random test... i wanted to make the head look big and out of place (especially with a big mouth!!). I don't know how the 20p coin got in my scanner... :|

Thats really creepy looking. I like the idea replacing the teeths as pencils and erasers(or are those pencil-sharpeners?)

It did actually. No, I mean recently, I took my exams before christmas and Ive been drawing on them while we've been going over them. Ive even drawn a couple on the tables... anyways... Im trying to keep most of them original, so different things scewer them and light comes from different angles. Ive had a scimitar, needle, pencil, spike, nail, splinter all scewer them, and all of them have blood dripping off them. Occasionally I draw a nice splash at the bottom as it hits the ground.
Besides eyeballs, Ive been drawing black lightning bolts, half destroyed worlds etc. Man Im happy

He was totally watching some Anime pr0n when drawing that chick. NO denying that.

The first ones were cool though. The one with the chick, i didn't like as much as the skewed pencil one in the first scan. Good work though.

I got warned on a really soft forum with practically no mods or rules for posting a picture of some fat woman, and you could see some flab over her top...?

Actually, 'hesitant' is not the right word, it's more like 'overly-cautious' But since TDE retired, who's in charge of the Art section? :O
