Ep2 360 Achievements *SPOILERS*

I've heard that XBox does these things and they're sort of neat. Not being a console gamer I don't know all of the details but this one seems kind of dumb -- several, if not a majority of these are mandatory...

42. Escape From City 17

20 points for winning the game? No two ways around that...

But only 15 points for finding all the caches? :|

there mostly worth like 5-10 each, which is lame, I like COD3 where you get 100 for just punching people on a level :D

but i suppose these are so easy, like 13, can't make your way around that either

I am loving the race one.

And it looks like striders are going to be blowing buildings up in the climax of the game.
 
Damn. I envy to those lucky Xbox360 owners now.
Number 33, 41, 43, 54, seems to quite chalenging.

Anyways, PC owners should be able to get at least the Ep2, Portal and TF2 achievements on Steam. It's only PS3 owners getting screwed.
 
Who mentioned climax? there may be one more level after they launch the rocket, fancing keeping all this info secret only to Valve for so long and then allowing people to just throw the storyline at us.

Sound hard.

I wish MS would have allowed 1,000 gamerscore per game (or at least 1,000 for Half-Life and 1,000 for TF2 / Portal). This 1,000 per disc sucks because there are five games in there and you still get the same gamerscore as one game.
 
I've just realised, this list may not be complete, who saw the hunter videos, because that video showed an achievement called 'Meet the Hunters' I can't find it...
 
how spoilerific are these? i dont want to look if it gives me any more spoilers than the magnuson video the other day....

The hunter one is probably one of the 'secret' eleven.

But then, they may not have settled on specific achievements at that point. But the list does add up to 1000, so there won't be any more.
 
Wow some plot spoilers but not big, it seems that we will be racing dog to the White forest base which means that he probably won that battle with the strider.
Griggs and Sheckley wonder if there the names for two vortigaunts coming with us in the tunnels or that they are new characters although the name Griggs does get me excited for a return of an old character.

Yes Samon of course he isn't, I guess I got a little crazy there but I know that if Grigori is to return he would not be Griggs.

So if Griggs is not Grigori then who could he be, maybe some miner along with Sheckley who need help to take out the antlions so that they could escape.
Then again that wouldn't make sense because it was over 10 or 20 years since the 7 hour war unless they were to eat the antlion grubs.
 
I wonder if there's a way to get these games all in one game... like, every chapter from HL2, EP1, and EP2 in on game, so that you can play the last level on HL2 and immediately it goes to the next level (skips credits.) in ep1, and the same for the end of ep1. I think that would be cool. :D

Also, I needs teh achievements. ><

They'd better damn well update all the games on STEAM with these. How else will we get crazy videos of people getting these? (Btw, that would make an EP1 speed run possible, because finishing the game would be included as getting all the achievements. So, sorry HL2DQ guy, you're obsolete now. Would that not be crazy though? Someone getting all the achievements in 1 run of the game? That would be fuxxing awesome!) :D

Also, Hot PotatOWNED has been used before, but this time it has a proper place. In no other game that I know of can you pick stuff up and throw it. (DooM 3 RE doesn't count. The "grabber" as it was called was a complete ripoff.)

... The game could be that you get knocked out by the antlion king, and someone pulls you to safety... YOU DON'T KNOW! MAYBE IT'S A "HIDDEN" QUEST!!! HAH! :D

It might be a secret acheivement to make it non-spoilerish, but then they would have done the same with the "Race".
 
The race is a bit spoilerish but I think that everyone are really looking forward for the possibility of fighting the antlion queen very badly.
So I think Valve want this to be a very big thing to not be spoiled so quick before the game comes out of course that is if there will even be a antlion queen.

And we now know one chapter name from Episode Two!

I think they meant the two ones in the core room itself.

So, ya know, you gotta speedrun on the bridge before they destroy the orbs.

I know it's the core. How can you do it? The moment you put a ball in the socket, they start zapping it. The bridges are way too long. Not without noclipping.
 
You gotta act like one of these CAL douches, and bunnyhop/shoot the orbs at some insane speed.

I know I can do this, but I agree this seems really difficult to some.
 
Actually it is possible I remember playing ep1 and I distracted the stalkers by putting a ball in another socket then quickly sprinted through the bridge.
 
There's quite a few hidden achievements. "Meet the Hunters", for instance, is not present on that list.

Antlion King FTW.
