I apologize for making this thread if this question has already been answered. Anywho, I was reading the info for EP3 and it said it was going to be on 360. Does anyone know if it'll be on disc or for download (like an expansion)?

I think it'll be on disc as it will be too big to download. MS have strict limitations on the size of games allowed on Xbox Live.

Just curious as they put Portal: Still Alive on there. Also, they have full orginal xbox games for download, so... I hope it's on disc. >.<

Of course it will be on a disc. It's not an "expansion" to Half-Life 2, it's just a shorter game. Or hell it could be larger than the last two episodes, but regardless it will almost surely be on a disc.

Episode 3 will be bigger than the original Xbox games as Valve won't be able to guarantee that people buying it own the Orange Box, and as such would have to include assets from those games.

I wonder if all the other Half-Life's will also be on it?

Would be nice if they made a second Orange Box. Maybe include some new CS for us Xbox users. I'm tired of playing normal Xbox CS. :(

=/ They already made the Orange Box. Doing it again (except maybe with a new Portal game and a new TF3, but that's most likely not going to happen) would be overkill.

I would also like to play the orginal Half Life. My pc isn't made for gaming.

I think it would most definitely be on disc. I would LMAO (though I doubt this would happen) if EP3 got packaged in with L4D2 (take that you n00b boycotters).

Hopefully it's a little longer if they put it on disc. Or if they include some extras.

Extras would be sweet. I've got the feeling that compared to the previous episodes, it will be longer & bigger.

And that is what she said. :naughty:

Heh. I'd crap myself if they made it as long as HalfLife2. That'd give them a reason to put it on disc.

I doubt it would be that long.

But pooping your pants is fun.

I do it every thursday.

So they are making for Xbox 360? Good. I have a Mac and Valve would develop for the PlayStation 3 before they would develop for Mac. :D

If it was a PC exclusive, I probably would buy Windows and put it on Boot Camp just for Episode 3, though. :rolling:

Yeah, PC, PS3 and Xbox360.

I could have sworn I heard somewhere that Gabe was done his hissyfit about how hard it was porting TOB to the PS3. Plus completely abandoning that part of the fanbase they created?

No, what Gabe said was that Valve didn't have the people to create a PS3 version in house. They are all PC devs and because the PS3 is very complicated the same team at Valve wouldn't have been able to make a PS3 version. Gabe's comments were justified, the PS3 is notoriously difficult to make games for and many high ranking game devs have also criticised this aspect of it. You won't see Valve creating new games for the PS3 like Left4Dead, but i think they'll let EA UK do the PS3 version again, although they may not bother as the PS3 version sold less than the 360 and PC version

Omg, i'm actually lauging right now... Jet, you crack me up on occasion.
