Episode 2 ending....wow? (MAJIOR SPOILERS)

Wow...alli have to say. Who ever has beaten this game should get this feeling. Anyone know where Episode 3 will lead off? I really cant believe Eli is dead here too...it was a huge cliffhanger for me. A tad bit upsetting too. Any other thoughts?

i loved the ending. the emotion that alyx showed was very powerful and brought a tear to my eye. i cant wait for the next.

Because Alyx still had here brain intact, not had an alien tackle burrow a large hole in it before sending it to oblivion.

And no Eli is deader than something that is very dead, he shall not return, its all about spicing up the storyline.

The vortigaunts could only save Alyx because she was dying. Eli is dead. And besides if they did make up some crappy reason for him to still be alive that would ruin the entire ending of Ep 2. I admit though that at first I thought The G-man's message (unforeseen consequences) hypnotized Eli in a way that could have saved him (notice him stubble backwards) but I highly doubt it.

Actually, Alyx had initially died. One of the vorts says something about her heart stopping, or whatever.

But yeah, putting brain matter back together is hardly comparable to two simple holes in the abdomen.

That theory seems as good as any. It just seems a bit flawed in the fact that he didn't kill him (or manipulate events so he would die) in the ample time beforehand or back at Black Mesa.

That said, the timing to Eli's death may be a vital component of his newly formulated plan. There's really no way of knowing with ol' G.

Eli's dead. For Valve to bring him back to life would be ridiculous. This isn't a fairy tail, and Valve aren't going to do it just to please you. Can't say they want you to feel it's real, because, well, it's just a game...

And yeah, I would've felt more if it hadn't been spoilt for me.

Was considering creating a topic asking other people what they felt so I might actually have a glimpse of the feelings I should've felt :hmph:
