It always freezes when you and the vortigaunts are about to heal Alyx. They start to glow blue like they did in Episode 1, but then the game just freezes and it repeats the sounds from the last few seconds. I've tried to turn the other way to avoid what might be lag, but alas it has done nothing.

Have you updated video and sound drivers? Defragged HDD?

Whats your system spec?

happened to me too, also happened at the final scene. ****ing pissed me off, had to watch both of those on youtube.

Gah, I'm having the same problem...

It gets to just as the vorts start glowing and then the sound just freezes, the game chugs at about 3fps, and then when the gman comes up he just pulls facesand doesn't say a word; Before this part the game has run flawlessly

I even tried turning the graphics to as low as i could get them and it still had the same problem, just a big uglier

I've also tried to to the language thing where you change it then change it back to english but still, same thing

help guys... ;(

I really need a new computer...

Lower graphic detail and screen resolution of the game. Your system 'somewhat' falls short of recommended game spec.

You will feel lagged-out when lots of things are happening and that scene is graphically intense.

Good Luck.

Okay, I managed to fix it myself if anyone cares :)

All i did was save the game a second or 2 after the sound stopped and the framerate completely died, then loaded that save up and the game ran fine from there

Hope this helps someone!!

ps, sorry i spoiled that bit vman but its the same place as you got stuck too so i figured you already saw him, whoops :P
