Episode 2 Freezing

Right when I join all the Vordigons to help them revive Alex my game completely freezes. The line is "now I combine Alex's life with the Freeman's life" and then it just ties up and I have to ctrl+alt+del to get out of it. If anyone could help me I would be grateful.

It seems to be that common problem in the Gman scene that the fps drops to like 1. Using heapsize solved the problem for some people I remember. How much RAM do you have?

I only have 512 megs. Can you explain what you did to fix the problem please? Cuz I am getting bored with bio-shock haha. Thanks.

1 - Log in on Steam
2 - Open your "MY GAMES" list.
3 - Right click on "HALF LIFE 2: EPISODE TWO", select "PROPERTIES"

A window should open.

4 - Click on "SET LAUNCH OPTIONS".
Then write:

-heapsize 256000

Click on "OK"
256mb should be enough RAM to make it work correctly.

That seemed to work a little bit, but it still freezes up when the GMAN starts making weird faces at me. Maybe I just need a better video card.

What is your video card?
You can always wait until he stops speaking, might take around 10 minutes I think, continue playing and just watch the scene on youtube later.

Wait until the Vorts go, save the game, reload that save.

I have a Radeon 9600. What do you mean like download a saved game right after that part and load it? I cant wait through it becuz my computer completely locks up.
