Episode 3 is certainly on the way.

The thing I love about this headline, and with so many quotable headlines from gaming websites, is this..

The Headline, awesome news, great, brilliant.
Valve Says "Hang In There" For Half-Life 2: Episode 3

The Sub Heading, Cool Cool, might aswell stop reading now, all good here!
Half-Life 2: Episode 3 is coming, so just chill.

The Actual quote...
"You will ever see [more Half-Life], yes. We are not done with Gordon Freeman's adventures. I have nothing other than that to tell you today, but hang in there with us."

Final word.
Lombardi didn't necessarily say that Episode 3 is coming, so Valve could be planning to skip it for an entire new release considering the amount of time that has passed.

How the heck did they get from that piece of old information, to that specific headline? No idea.. though I am sure they generated a lot of reposting and google traffic by editing it so masterfully. This kinda thing happens each and every day, giving people a strange viewpoint on what developers and publishers are actually saying. A minor nod in an interview gets transformed into a press release statement through magical headlining. Before you know it, the company in question releases an actual statement that contradicts the non-existent one from before, and everyone goes insane saying they lied! and the ballet of ridiculousness continues..

Wow really interesting news.

If this was last month.

p.s.Welcome to the forums!

Or any month in the past few years. They've used that same line or close to it in every interview where they've been asked about Ep3.

well the line "hang in there" is on the way for about 4 years .
