I read somewhere that E2 and E3 were being developed at the same time by two different teams, if this is correct does that mean we will be seeing
E3 in a couple of months or am I completely wrong?

Doubtful. From a marketing standpoint, it would make more sense to wait six months or a year to release E3, during which time they could develop HL4.

But I'm just guessing...

Hopefully we will get it by the end of 2008, although I doubt it.

An year between each episode. January 2009 at most.

Didn't they say the same thing about Ep. 2 after Ep. 1 first came out? Look how that turned out.

Hooray. A four month delay. Whoowhoo.

Episode 1: June 2006.
Episode 2: October 2006

Ive heard that October 31st, 2008 is the 10th Anniversary of the release of Half Life...

^ Half Life was released November 19, 1998. Couple more days should do it.

Whatever happened to Half Life 3?

In theory it shouldn't take that long since Im pretty sure a huge chunk of it should already be made. But this is Valve.

Somehow I doubt that much work has been finalized for EP3. While EP2 and EP3 were under development at the same time, so have Portal and TF2. With four projects going on at once, it's hard to believe VALVe would have gotten much on EP3 done aside from some proof-of-concepts.

That would be a perfect release date, but I would think Valve has learned from their delays, hopefully the games comes in under 12 months!

You are playing HL3 which are the EP's....

Not much is going to happen - They are having Cake which we all know is a lie...

Then why does it say "Half-Life 2: Episode Two" when I load the game?
No, I am pretty sure we'll see HL3 with a new graphics engine at some point.

Of course, it would be absolutely retarded to Release HL4, which could also be HL2: EP4, which is actually interfering with HL3 supposed to be HL2 Ep 1-3.

Damn... do they want to pull-off an Final Fantasy !? (Concerning western release dates and numeration)

I reckon we're looking at late 2008 at the earliest but probably second quarter 2009.

As for HL3 ........ They would have invented real Portal technology by the time Valve get round to that!!
