Episode three trailer (not) coming in a few hours? (because it's a hoax)

Come on you don't actually think this is legit. All the Twitter accounts that claim to be Gabe are fake do yourself a favour and ignore them.
 
Are you guys serious? I thought it was common knowledge that Gabe's Twitter account is fake. And that news site that was posted is based on Gabe's fake Twitter account.

I want to see EP3 in action as much as the next guy, but c'mon...don't be so gullible.
 
Plus, if Gabe leaked info like that he'd probably be smacked by Lombardi.
 
If Half-Life: Reimagined was real, everyone on the Black Mesa team would simultaneously shoot themselves.

I've been wondering why someone would keep this charade of a twitter account going for so long - but I realized that he's pointing people to rolenation.com in order to view the 'trailer' and they have to register.

So I guess that's his game, get people to register for his site by saying he's gabe newell and has the ep3 trailer.

FAIL.

I really don't get why Valve hasn't had that acct yanked yet. What's the point of keeping it up? It's only going to piss people off more.

Seriously, you could have graphed my "faith in humanity" figure falling as I scrolled through the posts kicking off this thread. If you spent two minutes reading the other posts by this Twitter account you'd know it was a fake account.
 
If you look closer it's actually the OP and one other guy talking between themselves. No less shocking but at least it's the absolute minimum of people who could be having said conversation.

Still it would interesting if they did that, and the reason behind the delay is because they needed to go to the route of the saga because they needed to rework portions of the original to make story elements in Ep3 more consistent
 
Lol the funniest part is that L4D2 comes out and everyone gets excited about Ep.3...same here anyway, people are expecting news after L4D2 gets out so careful with the fakes.

It's the guys website. He's using the fake twitter account to draw attention to it - right now it says "There is no trailer, Valve lied to you." then "Register on http://RoleNation.com, a wonderful community that will not lie to you.
We are sorry that Valve played this prank on you, they are ****s."

whereas yesterday it said to register at rolenation to see the trailer, and then listed his email in case valve wanted to buy the domain from him.

SO much fail.
