Episode Two Demo On XBL Tomorrow

The first public demo for The Orange Box is targeted for release on Xbox 360 tomorrow, November 22. The demo is dedicated to Half-Life 2: Episode Two, The latest installment in the Half-Life 2 series.[br]

The Orange Box is coming for the PlayStation 3 this December, Including Half-Life 2: Episode Two, the second installment in the Half-Life 2 episodic trilogy; Team Fortress 2, the sequel to the game that put class-based, multiplayer team warfare on the map; and Portal, the game that blends puzzles, first person action, and adventure gaming to produce an experience like no other.

Good move for Valve, whetting the appetite of many potential new gamers before xmas and get the Orange box on many people's xmas lists. Let the new gamers have just the sweetest taste.

Oh wow, cool. I didn't actually know they were going to do this. I already have the OB, and maybe this would be bias considering I know full and well what it is about and how awesome it is, but this would be the first demo since... well, ever, I think, that would actually really excite me. For some reason, it does now. :\ May end up downloading it...

What level is it, anyway? Or section.

Yes they did.

I know they did one patch, but my understanding was that TF2 was still unplayable with 16 ppl online. Not that I have a 360, but sorting that problem out is kind of key to the long term success on the platform, especially when other MP games run lag free with more players on.

Runs fine for me. Like I've said before, you can't put your finger on something like lag. I see it in every game I play - no escaping it, for both PC and console.

How exactly would a demo work? Can you only play as demoman or something, until you buy it? Or everything up to Alyx getting injured? First getting the Portal gun? If it works, then fantastic.

It's only episode 2, nothing else. I only played up until the transmission to White Forest then quit.
