Now this is interesting. My Rad 9800 graphics card is on its last legs because the card is physically bent (don't know how the hell it happened but its currently being held up by a ring binder) so I've ordered a 9600XT which (w00t) comes with a voucher for HL2.

Only thing is, I already have it pre-ordered.

Well, if one doesn't materalise, the other one bloody must

Rossell, my advice is to make do with the 'bender' and wait for the (imminent) release of the Nvidia 6800 Ultra which pwns the 9800XP almost by a factor of 2. I have a 9800pro and I'm gonna get one. Might flog the 9800 on here...

Second, I have almost no money, about £150. About the card being bent, its physically bent as in:

Well, the new ATI card is going to debut like May 4 or 6, and from screenies/leaked stuff floating around the net, it looks like it will even beat the 6800 Ultra.

And while the 6800 is a beastly card, beating the 9800 Pro is nothing special, since that is ATI's last generation card....like getting excited when we found out the 9700 Pro would beat the GF4.

My 9800pro gets seriously hot, I think its been shipped with a dodgy cooler (most have) but my lian li has some nice cooling thats probably keeping the card a few degrees below melting point...

...damn ATi and their crazy overheating cards ;(

My ATi card overheats all the time too, its quite annoying having Intel Active Monitor beep at your while you trying to play CS.

erm, with £150 you can get a 9800pro, on www.overclockers.co.uk theres the saphire 9800pro lite retail which is only like £156. and i think powercolour do a pretty cheap one too.

Actually now that you mention it, my card is starting to bend downwards slightly, it never used to do that!!! :/
