Error Guard 2.5:WTF IS THIS!!

so while browsing on firefox today i got a message saying that my comp was infected,i was like wtf,it seemed to be an ad,anyway i clicked on the message as i couldnt go back to my page until i did.so i clicked the link and it automatically downloaded error guard

'it started 'scanning' my comp and said it found 167 things that could seriously effect my comp,below in a box where the list of things,programs,documents and the such,so i thought shit,then i clicked on the 'repair' button which took me to a page saying i needed to pay 30 dollars to register first,i presume this is a joke but i heard firefox was reliable so im wondering if my comp is infected,im running a virus scan at the moment,anyone with knowledge of error guard pls help

Tools > Options > Web Features > Allow web sites to install software.

check that. its needed to download new themes for firefox and stuff from there, but if ur not id personally disable it.

Error Guard looks to be something not quite right. I can't find anything on google other than how to get rid of it.

yep its bs spyware,got rid of the mutha with reg cleaner,die i say! :sniper: ,cheers lads
