Error Message (screen included)

I am in Nova Prospekt, and when going through a certain transition I get the following messages and HL2 closes...

No ive tried validating and nothing....

Well I cant find any answers, do you think I should re-install - if I do, is there any way to keep my saved game?

You can try it, and to keep your saves just back up your SAVE folder in the HL2 folder.

And if you have an ATi card with the latest drivers, that might be causing the problem. If you do, try rolling back to an earlier set of drivers.
