Error starting CS:Source

hi, i have registered and installed CS:Source through the steam engine and i cannot start up the game as i get an error that says the engine cannot find the steamemu.ini file. I uninstalled the steam engine and reinstalled it and downloaded CS:Source again and i am getting the same error. Also, i did not getting an option to place the icon on my desktop and when i double click on hl2, i get an error saying 'gameinfo.txt doesnt exist in hl2'. Can anyone help?

Go to your SteamApps/Your_steam_name/Half-Life 2/hl2 and copy the gameinfo.txt. Paste it in the CS:S dir

Hi Trippy

I do not have a 'SteamApps/Your_steam_name/Half-Life 2/hl2' folder.
All i have under the my_Steam_name folder is a counter-strike source folder and under this i have a cstrike folder which does have the gameinfo.txt file. Which is one of the reasons i find it surprising that it shows that error. Do you have any other suggestion?

The problem of not finding steamemu.ini still exists, thats the first error that i get.
