escape santa monica crash to desktop?

Anybody know a work around to keep the game from crashing when you enter the cab in santa monica. Does the same thing as in soc. of leopold escape.

ok, just don't click 'get me the hell outa santa monica' and it works ok...in case anyone else did have this prob
