Sitting here after a few cans a simple question came to mind, don't ask me why.

If you could have eternal life would you? I mean eternal, not 100, 200, 300years but forever?

Dear god no

Nothing would be worse than floating around in space (Once the earth was destroyed) Just to be sucked into the center of some massive star to live out eternity.

Hmm, nope. But I'd go for eternal life if I could click a button and then I'd die.

That day would be awesome...cos you could try something different every day, take risks and pay no consequences...i'd love it for like a month, then it would suck....so much, as would eternal life. I'd like to see things change over a long time, but eventually die, cos i wont wanna live after some point.

yeah groundhog day for 2 weeks would be cool i suppose...

knowing my luck i'd try one of the suicides when groundhog day had just finished..

Eternal life would probably be dreadful.

I sure would as long as I kept my youth around the age of 21-25 or so

Depends on how eventful my eternal life would be.

One main point on why it would suck would be seeing everyone you knew and loved died while you were still living.

Eternal life would be everything imaginable, repeated infinitely. Not too bad if you're a goldfish, or suffer amnesia.

I would like to live up to 300 years, but not eternity :hmph: I would be bored to death....

A minute for me is eternity.

lol, no seriously.......i dunno, its hard to imagine what would happen to our brains after so many years of experience......would the earlier years fade away to make room for new memories or would you get to the stage you could no longer make new memories?

Eternal life is different from being "invincible" so i would say yeah, go ahead with it..........if i ever get pissed off i can blow my brains out.
(or bash my head against a lamp post if all guns are banned in years ahead)

Just imagine how bad your Alzheimer's would get...

Hell, I'd probably enjoy living for a thousand years, maybe even more, but not eternity.

No i wouldnt - i have the habit of re-playing events in my head...A couple of hours can sometimes drive me insane (i blame music :P) so eternity......GOD ONLY KNOWS!!!

Eternity in heaven is suppost to be a prize or something you would REALLY want... I don't think God would do something like, "Ok, in heaven all people will do is sit in chairs and stare! They'll LOVE it when they find out!". I would love to live an eternity in heaven because I'm pretty sure it won't dissappoint me in the least bit.

I'd rather have fifty very happy years here than an infinite number of bored, repetitive, tedious, not to mention impossibly boring (and did I mention boring?) years. :)

Not another one of these filosophic threads.

I think and therefore I am.

yeah I'd like to live forever, but I'd also like the power to go through time too.. And to selectively forget whatever I wanted and still get to talk about things that never happened.

So basically I want to be an old person :p

not really.. I mean, live for eternity, you could learn everything you ever wanted to about anything in the universe.. course thats where the time travel comes in, cause by the time you've learnt it all and explored every inch of the universe, there wont be anything left, so you go back in time and show off to friends at school hehe.

is Tom Hanks off the Green Mile eternal?

or just gonna live till 200 or sumthing....?

ahhh.... the great nothingness of life....

life...

its nothing...

just a little dot in the vast universe....

nothing....

nothing at all........

:(

If I could kill myself whenever I wanted I would not mind eternal life.

Hmmm, tell me more of this ability to time-travel when old.

Sounds interesting unless they have the ability to time travel fowards only at a 1:1 rate. :P
