well, the czechs have had all the pressure so far.. but greece looks sneaky .. how funny would it be to have a rematch of the first game of the tourney in the final? portugal might like the chance at sweet revenge (though, they'd probably just like not having to play the czechs :))

Still nill nill, I hope greece wins.

yikes.. what a dull 1st half.. i hope greece doesn't win.. they always play such boring games :x i bet a czech/portugal final would be much more entertaining. maybe sprafa can tell us if the greek fans are better than the czech fans (it sounds like they are).

None of those teams have large fanbases. The Greeks seem to be more in numbers and destruction. The Czech don't seem to have "migrated" as much as the rest to watch the Euro.....

I would also like to see a Portugal-Czech final.....

Czechs will win... Definitely! They deserve to win the whole tournament!

Czech will hopefully win, but with Nedved down, it's not certain anymore. The Greeks are really strong too.

I can see Greece nicking a winner right at the end here.

Tooooold Yooooooooou. Damn...Greece vs Portugal opening the tournament...Greece vs Portugal closing the tournament. Not a very exciting fixture in my mind.

ugh.. too bad.. i fear the final may be as wretched as this game with greece in there.. their style of play should be outlawed :x

Now THAT was unexpected haha...on the 15th min of ET and greece are in the final :bounce:

Yah... t'was boring, Czechs ought to be the winners.

Meh... now I don't care what happens, just as long as one of the Greek's breaks Ricardo's face.

Uh, did I actually type that? I meant... uh... wiped the smile off his face. Or something less violent.

I dont think ill be watching the final..ive already seen it once.

after their steller finishing throughout the tourney, it's unfortunate that the czechs didn't put one of their many chances in the back of the net. i think anyone that is a fan of football will hope for a portugese victory.. since greece plays about the ugliest and least interesting football ever devised.

wow...i hope greece go all the way now. they can definitely beat portugal. definitely an odd tournament this year.. :rolling:

i'm confused... greece played both defensive and attacking football today. it's not like they're constantly defending with 8 men behind they ball, they definitely made it an exciting game, and sunday should be no exception.

you thought that was exciting?? wow.. you should stay away from parks.. you'll have a heart attack on the merry-go-round :rolling: they didn't attack until the ET period..

the greek style makes for boring games, simple as that. watch every single game they've played in this tourney. i don't want any other teams out there getting the idea that this is good football..

they made the game more exciting for sure, but i'm not comparing them to brazil or anything. the greeks had quite a few chances in normal time. i thought it was an intruiging game to watch, both teams at their most imperious, both teams seemingly invincible. i don't know whether this is a cultural thing or a personal thing, but i liked watching how each team was fielded and how they played off eachother. that's proper tactical football, that's why teams have managers.

the greek style of play isn't a new thing. been around for 30 odd years probably. the greeks definitely have the ability to play attacking football, but i guess they're just cautious. result football vs showy football...we know the winner (most of the time).

anyway, i'll be cheering for greece on sunday.

couldn't disagree with you more. the czechs play tactical football, the greeks play try-not-to-lose football. you can call it "results" football if you wish, but after watching an exhibition of proper football (excepting the last 10 minutes) yesterday, this match was sadly dull. this is not a case of showy, high-priced players being shown-up by their 'less-talented' but tactically sound opponents. the czechs should have won this game, poor finishing was their only downfall. they created all of the chances they needed, with superior tactics in the first 90. game should have ended 3-0 or 3-1 after full time.

let's all just hope that emotion (revenge) and the crowds push the portugese to get an early goal so the game opens up.

What a ****en bad tournament, Greece is only wining by chance, they allways get lucky. The czechs were the best, but for some reason they played really bad today.

Edit: Whoa, automatic anty-cursing sytem, neat!

so its Greece and Portugal in the final eh? :)
i like both teams.
Greece being the Cinderella team and Portugal having some exciting players.. Figo had a monster game vs Holland.. maybe a sign of things to come?

anyway i can't wait for this final.. can't remember ever being this excited for a soccer game
